VVC-II Battery Charger

Description:
    The R&R Instrumentation VVC-II Battery Charger is designed to provide a highly stable and regulated variable output voltage to all types of batteries including flooded lead acid, gel-cel, and nickel cadmium.  The charger employs a high frequency switching regulator technology to achieve high power density and lightweight.  A 4-½ digit front panel digital voltage/ammeter and control circuitry provide safe operation in a variety of conditions.
     The VVC-II has two basic operating modes: constant voltage and constant current.  In the constant voltage mode, the output voltage is regulated at the value selected on the front panel while the output current varies with the charge requirements.  In the constant current mode, the internally set output current is regulated at the preset value while the output voltage varies with the load requirements.  An automatic crossover system enables the charger to switch between operating modes in response to varying load requirements.
